Good Morning, Heavenly Father,

Thank you for another day to start fresh in my Christian journey.

Every step and every breath I take is a reminder of Your love and grace.

Psalm 118:24 says, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” I rejoice in this day, knowing that You have a purpose for it. You are the creator of all things, and I trust that my life is in Your hands.

Though I can’t see the future, I find peace in knowing that You do. Your plan for me is perfect. As Your Word says in Proverbs 16:9, “People plan their path, but the Lord decides what happens.” I trust that You are guiding my steps.

Lord, I ask for wisdom in my decisions. James 1:5 assures me that if I need wisdom, I can ask You for it, and You will give it.

Help me to listen to Your guidance that I might walk in the way You’ve prepared for me. Isaiah 30:21 says, “This is the way; walk in it.” Help me hear Your voice clearly and follow Your path, trusting that You will show me the right direction.

Psalm 91:2 reminds me that You are my safe place, my protector and my God whom I trust. When fear or worry try to take over, I will hold on to Your promise of protection. Isaiah 54:17 tells me that “No weapon formed against you shall prosper”, and I rest in that assurance today. I cover myself, my family, my friends and all that concerns me with the precious blood of Jesus.

Even when life gets tough, I know You are with me. John 16:33 reminds me, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart: I have overcome the world,” says the Lord.

I trust that through Christ, I am more than a conqueror, and nothing can defeat me.

Isaiah 26:33 promises that, “You will give perfect peace to those who trust in You.” Lord, I choose to trust You today. When distractions and challenges arise, help me keep my focus on You and walk in peace.

II Timothy 1:7 reminds me that You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and self-control. I reject fear and embrace the strength You provide. I trust in Your perfect timing.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Even when I feel impatient, I trust that Your timing is always right. I believe Your plans for me will unfold at just the right moment.

Thank you, Lord, for Your never-ending love and faithfulness. I know that nothing can separate me from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord. With You by my side, I can face anything.

Today, I walk in victory, peace, and blessings You have prepared for me. I choose to live in faith, not fear, and I trust that You are in control of every detail of my life.

Help me to live in a way that brings glory to Your name, reflecting Your love and grace to everyone I encounter.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

Relax - Take a Break

My name is Patricia Young, and I am 72 years old. I am here to share my journey and to help others who have faced the challenging path of domestic abuse. While I may not have experienced much severe physical harm, the emotional and mental scars I carry are profound. Yet, I have discovered a strength and resilience within me that I never knew existed. I want to reach out to women in their later years: you are not alone on this journey. It is absolutely possible to reclaim your strength, recognize your worth, and rise above the pain of abuse. Our past does not define us; we have the power to rewrite our stories and lift each other as we move forward. Together, we can stand strong, support one another, and break the silence surrounding these painful experiences. Remember, our voices matter, and it's never too late to seek help and start anew. You deserve love, respect, and a brighter future.
