To Every Woman Living in Abuse Today

Rustic path leading through fields toward a cottage at sunset
A rustic path winds through sunlit countryside toward a cozy cottage beneath dramatic evening clouds.

To every woman living in abuse today, I speak this over you:

You were not created for fear. You were created for peace, for dignity, and for a life where your spirit can breathe again.

God sees your tears. He sees your strength. He sees the quiet hope you still carry, even in the dark.

May His courage rise in you like a small, steady flame. May His comfort wrap around you and give you room to breathe. May His hope whisper that your life is meant for more than surviving pain.

You are worthy of love that does not wound. You are worthy of safety, gentleness, and respect. You are not invisible, and you are not forgotten.

God is calling you toward a tomorrow where you can walk freely, rest safely, and feel love that never turns into fear.

Hold onto that truth. Let it guide you toward escape, toward healing, and toward the life He longs for you.

**This is my prayer for you.**

Relax - Take a Break

My name is Patricia Young, and I am 72 years old. I am here to share my journey and to help others who have faced the challenging path of domestic abuse. While I may not have experienced much severe physical harm, the emotional and mental scars I carry are profound. Yet, I have discovered a strength and resilience within me that I never knew existed. I want to reach out to women in their later years: you are not alone on this journey. It is absolutely possible to reclaim your strength, recognize your worth, and rise above the pain of abuse. Our past does not define us; we have the power to rewrite our stories and lift each other as we move forward. Together, we can stand strong, support one another, and break the silence surrounding these painful experiences. Remember, our voices matter, and it's never too late to seek help and start anew. You deserve love, respect, and a brighter future.
